Sun TV – apt researcch group Opinion Poll predicts 220 seats for the winning alliance.
Even the most hardcore loyalists of the predicted victor, felt that the Poll had gone overboard in its prediction.
When results were announced, the winner got 220 seats!!!

1998

A year in which the polarisation of Tamil Nadu voters underwent a drastic change resulting in our prediction for 1998 Parliament Elections going off the mark.

Opinion Surveys largely depend on Past Electoral performance. When a major shift in the electoral behaviour of the voters happen and the past performance turns irrelevant the basis on which Opinion Surveys are structured do not hold.

1998

1998 Lok Sabha elections Karnataka

The apt researcch group Opinion Poll predicted an impressive performance by a National Party in one of the Southern States of India.

The reporters of the Publication for whom the Poll was done did not agree with the Poll findings.

The Poll was not Published.

The final results proved our prediction was correct.

1999

Accurately predicted the outcome of the Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu for Sun TV.

2004

Post Poll study to identify the reasons behind the electoral defeat of a prominent political party in a Southern State.

The findings of the study were shared directly with the party’s President.

2006

A confidential Opinion Poll for one of Tamil Nadu’s main Political Parties predicted the mood of the Electorate, which was not in favour of the party, just ahead of commencement of Poll Campaign by the party’s top leader.

The inputs of our Opinion poll significantly shaped the Party’s campaign strategy and helped it turn the tide in its favour.

2011

A State-wide Survey for Puthiya Thalaimurai TV, on the performance of MLA’s newly elected to the TN Legislative Assembly.

2016

Two State-wide Opinion Polls for Puthiya Thalaimurai in advance of the 2016 TN Assembly Elections gauged the shift in voter preference from one Party to another within a short gap of few months just ahead of the elections.

2019

Two State wide Pre-poll surveys for Puthiya Thalaimurai TV ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections predicting a clear edge for the winning alliance in line with the outcome of the elections.

2021

Puthiya Thalaimurai – apt researcch group Opinion Poll predicts 158 seats for the winner.
The final results – 159 seats for the winner.

2024

A Nation-wide Pre-poll Survey in 19 States, spread across 82 Lok Sabha Constituencies, representing 509 of the 543 Lok Sabha Constituencies in the country, for Puthiya Thalaimurai TV

The Pre-poll Survey was conducted in 1314 locations and covered 35905 eligible voters.

The Survey was conducted between November ’23 and January 24.

The findings of the Survey were bang-on in Seven States, predicted closely the electoral outcome in Four States, predicted the Trend in Two States, got the Emerging Trend in Three Crucial Battleground States and the pre-poll electoral pulse in the other three.
